We love our beautiful hemp plants and the amazing flowers they produce. We are excited to offer our flowers to you, straight from the farm! Buying organic hemp flower in its natural, original form allows for flexibility of use and maximum wellness benefits. Here are some common uses for our boutique organic hemp flower.
The most popular method of hemp and cannabis flower consumption is smoking or vaping the flower. Many people enjoy smoking hemp flower for the health benefits of cannabinoids without the ‘high’ associated with THC cannabis flower.
Importantly, inhaled cannabis has an average onset time of 1-3 minutes, providing wellness benefits and relief quicker than other consumption methods. Research even shows CBD hemp flower can help reduce cigarette consumption in tobacco smokers:
Add to Your Favorite Recipes!
Hemp flower can be added to many of your favorite recipes! For example, we recommend pairing it with indulgent and decadent recipes such as cakes and brownies for the perfect pairing. Recipes high in natural fat and oils (think: butter, coconut oil, olive oil etc.) allow for optimal absorption into the body. For slow cook recipes (low temps with long cook times): simply grind the flower and add it to the dish. The long, slow, simmering time will activate the cannabinoids within your food for effective absorption.
If the recipe isn’t slow-cooked, the hemp flower needs to be decarboxylated prior to adding it to recipes. Decarboxylating it requires heating the flower to convert CBDA to CBD for maximum therapeutic and wellness benefits.
To decarboxylate: Lightly grind the hemp flower and spread evenly on a baking tray. Bake at 215 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes to fully activate the cannabinoid compounds. After heating the flower it is ready to use in any application.
Tea is a lovely way to combine hemp flower with other herbs and botanicals for custom wellness blends. Consider steeping hemp flower alone for maximum potency or with other blends for relief from common ailments. We recommend combining with:
- Chamomile to reduce anxiety and promote restful sleep
- Peppermint for nausea and upset stomachs
- Black or green tea leaves for a caffeine boost or headache relief
Bonus: Add coconut oil or heavy creamer to your tea to increase cannabinoid absorption.
That’s right — hemp flower in the bath! In other words, you can toss the beautiful flower buds straight into the tub while it’s filling! Let us do the mixing for you and check out our Hemp Flower bath soak:
Similar to adding hemp flower to your favorite recipe, we also recommend creating custom infusions with butter, coconut, or olive oil! Cannabinoids are fat soluble and can easily be combined by adding small portions of decarboxylated flower into heated butter, coconut oil or olive oil. Heat on low to combine, remove from heat and strain off the flower. Welcome to CBD infused goodness to easily add to any recipe!
To start out, hemp flower seasoning makes a great addition to a multitude of dishes, especially those with an Italian flare. If you are adding the flower to a dish that will be cooked, no need to decarboxylate! If you would like to add it after the dish is cooked, you will want to use the decarboxylated flower, to get the full benefits!
Many people enjoy using Cannabinoids topically for sore muscles, achy joints and pain relief. Easily add CBD to your favorite body lotion by sprinkling ground, decarboxylated flower to the mixture. You can even consider mixing and saving it in a resealable container for later!
